So firstly this blog should need no editing and secondly I wonder who realises it’s about them?
So when people you meet write daily of their past, their present, their future, their troubles, their fears , their sorrow and their children, you begin to feel like you have a little piece of their lives with you, to copy? (taste in home decorating), to laugh about, to talk about, to realise your not alone on the dark days.
Then they let you in on a bit more of their life, secrets, tales of people who have been unkind to them, plans for the future, and you know then you have found a friend.
You think this person couldn’t give you any more input on life that you haven’t already got cos she’s laid out everything in black and white for 1000s of people to read every day.
Then it happens, a simple yet awful accident happens and she teaches you how to cherish people, how people can actually be pure kind and care about you.
How you can actually have real friends.
This is what happened to me and what I felt the day Emma’s daughter had the accident.
I thought she had shown and taught me so much but then when that happened I realised I had then learnt how to be humble again, how to stop thinking everyone is in to stab you in the back at some point, how my everyone just uses you.
I sat back in the group chat that night and watched her friends bend over backwards to help, love and support her.
I was so shocked at people’s kindness, “I’ve bought her this to cheer her up, “I’ll take you to so and so appointment, ” talking her through it, cos let’s face it she was so upset and close to breaking.
She’s a mum, she’s not this strong person constantly, she’s human and feels pain like the rest of us.
I felt so honoured to know these people and so happy for her to be getting this support.
Friendship, family, trust and love are all you need in this world I believe.
That person was Emma.
Yes, you Emma.
Just a normal person with one heck of a support network behind her.
So I would like to know what others have learnt from people they have stumbled upon in life, are they still in touch with them that made an impact on their lives?
I hope I will be forever with Emma and all the friends she introduced me too over the last few years.
She’s one amazing woman!
